LASIK Laser Eye
Surgery in Rohtak.

Tired of looking for your glasses every morning?

LASIK can be considered by people who want to reduce their dependence on spectacles or contact lenses. But having glasses does not automatically mean LASIK is for you. At Ishwar Eye Centre, the eyes are evaluated before anything is decided.

For some people, it starts the minute they wake up. Where are my glasses? On the table? Under the pillow? Somewhere near the bed?

And then there are contact lenses. Fine when everything goes as planned. Slightly annoying when it does not.

Your power matters, of course. But so do your cornea, its thickness, shape, and the general health of your eyes.

Sometimes LASIK may be suitable. Sometimes it may not. That is why the consultation comes first.
01 — The basics

What exactly is LASIK?

LASIK stands for Laser Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis. You do not really need to remember that part.

Simply put, LASIK is a procedure that changes the shape of the cornea so that light can focus better on the retina. When light does not focus properly inside the eye, things can look blurry. LASIK aims to correct that focusing issue by reshaping the cornea.

Sounds straightforward. But every eye is a little different — so the treatment is not decided by looking at the spectacle prescription alone.

02 — Suitability

How do you know if
LASIK is right for you?

This is where people usually want a quick yes or no. Unfortunately, eyes do not always work that way.

Your prescription, and whether it has been stable
The thickness and shape of your cornea
Your overall eye health
Dry eyes or certain other eye conditions

Your lifestyle can matter too

All these small details can be part of the bigger picture.

Q1What kind of work do you do?
Q2How much screen time is involved?
Q3Do you play sports?
Q4What are you expecting after LASIK?
Before searching for the best LASIK eye surgery in Rohtak, it is probably worth finding out whether LASIK is actually suitable for your eyes. The order matters
03 — The procedure

What happens during LASIK?

Before the procedure, your eyes are examined and the treatment is planned based on your individual measurements.

STEP 01

A thin flap is created

A thin flap is created on the cornea and lifted, exposing the tissue underneath.

STEP 02

The laser reshapes

An excimer laser is then used to reshape the underlying corneal tissue, following the plan built from your measurements.

STEP 03

The flap is replaced

Once that is done, the flap is placed back carefully.

The procedure is generally done on an outpatient basis, so patients usually go home the same day. Your doctor will tell you what to do after the procedure, what to avoid, and when you need to come back for follow up.

Pretty simple from the patient’s side. There is preparation behind it, though.

04 — Choosing where to go

LASIK at Ishwar
Eye Centre

If you are looking for a LASIK eye surgery hospital in Rohtak, it helps to look beyond just the procedure itself.

Q1How carefully are the eyes evaluated?
Q2Is the technology appropriate for the treatment?
Q3What happens if LASIK is not suitable?

These questions matter. Patients can undergo an eye evaluation and discuss their options with the eye specialist before deciding on treatment.

No two eyes are exactly alike. The approach should not feel exactly the same either. On being evaluated properly
Zeiss MEL 90 Ishwar Eye Centre offers LASIK and refractive surgery services and is equipped with the Zeiss MEL 90 excimer laser system for refractive vision correction. Excimer laser system

What can you expect after LASIK?

Recovery is not identical for everyone. Some people may notice improvement in vision soon after the procedure. Others may need time for their vision to settle.

Use eye drops as advised
Avoid rubbing your eyes
Stay away from certain activities for a while
Attend your follow up appointments
The instructions might seem small. They are not. Following them properly is part of the process too

Is LASIK for everyone? No.

And that is completely normal. Certain factors, such as corneal thickness, an unstable prescription, dry eye, or other eye conditions, may affect whether LASIK is recommended.

Another vision correction procedure may sometimes be considered instead — ICL is one option your specialist may discuss.

Corneal thickness An unstable prescription Dry eye Other eye conditions
The point is not to somehow make LASIK work for everyone who wears glasses. The point is to find what is suitable for your eyes. Which is a different question entirely

If spectacles or contact lenses have become something you are simply tired of dealing with, a LASIK consultation can help answer a few important questions.

Is your prescription suitable? Are your corneas healthy enough? Is LASIK the ideal procedure for you?

And maybe LASIK will be right for you. Maybe it will not.

But you will know more about your eyes than when you walked in. And that is where the decision should begin.
05 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is LASIK?

LASIK stands for Laser Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis. It is a procedure that changes the shape of the cornea so that light can focus better on the retina.

What can LASIK be used to correct?

It may be used to correct myopia or nearsightedness, hyperopia or farsightedness, and astigmatism.

What happens during the procedure?

A thin flap is created on the cornea. An excimer laser is then used to reshape the underlying corneal tissue. Once that is done, the flap is placed back carefully. The procedure is generally done on an outpatient basis, so patients usually go home the same day.

Is LASIK suitable for everyone?

No. Certain factors, such as corneal thickness, an unstable prescription, dry eye, or other eye conditions, may affect whether LASIK is recommended. Another vision correction procedure may sometimes be considered instead.

What is checked during the evaluation?

The eye specialist may check your prescription, whether it has been stable, the thickness and shape of your cornea, and your overall eye health. Dry eyes or certain other eye conditions may also need to be considered, and your lifestyle can matter too.

What is recovery like?

Recovery is not identical for everyone. Some people may notice improvement in vision soon after the procedure, while others may need time for their vision to settle. You may be advised to use eye drops, avoid rubbing your eyes, stay away from certain activities for a while, and attend your follow up appointments.

Start with the evaluation, not the procedure.
